Joel Smith

Joel Smith is an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of California, Berkeley where he works with track and field, swimming and tennis. He is the founder of Just Fly Sports, an informational site for speed and power based athletic development. Joel is the author of “Vertical Foundations”, the first book to take a holistic, biomechanical approach to jump training in the scope of team sports. In his spare time, he stays true to his track and field roots working with Diablo Valley Track Club, and doing private coaching throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
