MTB & Cycling Timing FAQs

What can I time with the Freelap Pro MTB102?

Use the Pro MTB102 to time complete runs, course segments, laps, and repeat efforts. It is especially useful for comparing lines, equipment changes, and rider-to-rider or run-to-run performance.

Can I time more than one rider?

Yes. The Pro MTB102 is available with one to four FxChip BLE athlete chips. Select one chip for an individual rider or add chips when you want to identify and time more riders within the same session.

Can I time a short segment instead of an entire course?

Yes. Place the timing points around the section you want to measure, such as a technical segment, sprint, or selected line. You can also configure the system to time a complete run.

Do I need Wi-Fi on the course or trail?

No Wi-Fi is required during the timing session after you have signed in online beforehand. Keep Bluetooth enabled to collect results in MyFreelap, then reconnect later to synchronize your data.

Can I compare repeat runs in MyFreelap?

Yes. MyFreelap keeps results organized by rider, rep, and session, making it easier to compare repeat runs, equipment changes, or different lines without recording times manually.

Can I expand the cycling system later?

Yes. Choose the number of FxChip BLE chips your current group needs, then add compatible chips and accessories as more riders join the session. Confirm compatibility before combining products from different Freelap system families.
